Assessment of Photoshop Use
Assessment of Photoshop use
I used the rectangular marquee tool to separate certain parts of a layer from the rest of the layer.
I used the polygonal lasso tool to cut out the picture of my model skating on the edited photo. This meant that I could make replicas of the same photo but without the background.
You can see that I have made replicas of the same photo and changed the hue of each cut out photo to make an abstract look.
I used the eraser tool to make some of the brushes on my pages slightly neater.
As you can see on this page it merges from a light red into a darker red as it goes into the top left corner of the page. I also used the brush tool on this page to give it a slightly flamed effect, this I also used the paint bucket tool on this to make it slightly lighter red than the background colour so it was subtle but effective.
For the text on this page I simply used a can in shape in the background and changed the opacity of the can so it was slightly visible, I then put each line of text in separately and changed the layout of the text to make it fit the shape of the can. At the top and the bottom of the can I used the warp tool to make the text take the shape of the can.
This screen shot shows that I simply made the photo on the left black and white and changed the brightness and contrast of the photo by using image adjustments; I then made several copies of the photo on the left and put it on the right and changed the shape of them. I left a full replica of the photo behind the text and used filter gallery to make it bright red with a cut out of the model skating.
For the photo on the left I used 2 of the same photo and simply changed the blending mode for each photo to create a black and white effect with slight colour to the skin and colour to the top.
I used a NIKON D200 to take the photos which I was going to use in my brochure, all my photos were taken inside a skate park with a fast shutter speed and they were also assisted with a flash.
For this photo I changed the layer option for both of the photos which made the photo look black and white with small parts of colour on top.
For another one of my photos which I edited I went on image adjustments and then onto hue and saturation, I changed the saturation down to -100 which made the photo look black and white but the brightness and contrast made the photo look less grainy still.
On my second and third page I imported the edited picture from my photo shoot and put that on one page, I then used the gradient tool to put a red background on my third page and used the brush tool to put a slightly lighter red brush over the top. Once I had typed my information down I used the warp tool to make the letters look like the shape of a can.
My seventh page was the edited photo from my photo shoot, on the eighth page I duplicated the same photo but changed the shape round to give a strange background effect, I then used a layer effect to make the person look see through with red around him.
